Fall Beers at Bluegrass
October 29, 2014
There are so many reasons to love fall! One of the most delicious? Fall beer. Break out the coats, scarves, and leg warmers, and crack open one of Bluegrass' fall beer picks! Check out four that we recommend you try...immediately.
Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale
This beer is a sipping beer with flavors of bourbon running through. Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is aged for six weeks in fresh barrels giving it flavors of vanilla and oak that compliment the bourbon.
Sierra Nevada Rain Check
Did you know that Sierra Nevada opened a brewery in North Carolina? The Rain Check Spicy Stout was created to commemorate the new brewery! With herb notes including rosemary, ginger, roasted coffee, and caramel, this beer screams fall! Add in a kick of lime on the front end and it's quite refreshing, too.
Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin
This hefty pumpkin beer is worth trying. Its malty flavor combined with notes of cinnamon and cloves give it a pumpkin pie taste. It's great for an after dinner dessert drink, or shared among friends at a tailgate!
Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale
With ingredients like cinnamon, natural pumpkin pureee, cloves, and nutmeg, this spicy beer is an American original. Not only is it spicy, but refreshing as well. It's easy to drink and great for gatherings!
