3 Great Beers to Try Before Summer Ends
July 26, 2014
Beer. Nothing beats that first cool refreshing sip. One of the great things about beer is that there is no shortage of flavors to choose from. Even if you're not a beer lover, chances are you'll find one that speaks your language. At Bluegrass, we literally carry hundreds of beers and we challenge you to try something out of your comfort zone. Note that the 3 we recommend here are all summer brews. They are perfect for sipping around a campfire roasting marshmallows or while enjoying music at one of Nashville's many festivals.
Curious Traveler Shandy
ABV: 4.4%
Hop Variety: Hallertau
The first American craft beer shandy, Curious Traveler is loaded with citrus flavor. Fresh lemon and a hint of fresh lime makes this shandy "Quite a refresher"! It is the Arnold Palmer (half lemonade and half tea) of beers. It won't help you play better golf, but it's sure to make the heat more bearable.
Goose Island Endless IPA
ABV: 5.0%
Hop Variety: Amarillo
This Endless IPA was designed for endless summer nights and is endlessly refreshing. Bright notes of fresh oranges and other citrus fruits give this mild bodied beer a full flavor. You'll get some sweet hoppy undertones with this creamy Endless IPA.
Yuengling Summer Wheat
ABV: 4.5%
Hop Varieties: Hallertau
From America's oldest brewery, Yuengling Summer Wheat is light yet hoppy. Flavors of banana, clove, and wheat dominate the palette. It's easy to drink and has a crisp finish.
Come by Bluegrass Market and take home one (or all) of these awesome beers before summer comes to an end.
